In 2019, the Spearhead Huts Society successfully opened the Kees and Claire Memorial Hut, the first of three planned huts on the legendary Spearhead Traverse in British Columbia’s Coast Range. The next step in their vision is the Macbeth Hut.
Sitting roughly halfway along the traverse, Macbeth will be the second of the three huts in the series. Tucked onto Mount Macbeth, it will offer a remote setting and a range of exceptional skiing. The 24-guest building will be a key piece of the Spearhead Traverse experience, serving as a destination for day-based ski touring and summer hiking with some of the Range’s most iconic ski descents and exciting mountaineering right out the door.
With $4.1 million raised to date and the BC Parks approval process in its final stages, the Spearhead Huts Society is entering the final phase of fundraising for the Macbeth Hut. Get the full scoop on the Spearhead Huts Society, or see the full plan for the new Spearhead hut.
