Summit Fever Gone Bad

Well, the fickle Northwest weather is dragging out the spring snow consolidation process. Spring corn skiing has been a bit elusive the past couple of weeks. If you manage to get out between storm cycles, there is good snow to be had, but Mother Nature is serving up storms more often than calm. The northwesterly flow continues this week - maybe by Thursday we will see some weather stability.

In the meantime, here is a short Tuesday time waster to remind you to be careful when locking into your skis on the summit . . . yikes.

Bummer, all that elevation gain gone. Now he'll have to climb back up.

No seriously, hope the wearer of that camera wasn't hurt too badly.

I would hope that given the vid made it to youtube that the skier is ok. Holy smokes, can you imagine the feeling in your gut as you began to slide backward . . . a variety of expletives come to mind.

Just watching it makes me wince. Can you imagine being his ski partner and watching it happen. Thanks, i guess, for the image that now runs through my head.
