Trade Show Report - II

More trade show fun. Here is an image of the new Garmont Radium Dynafit compatible boot. It uses the new overlap cuff/tongue designa nd weighs in on par with the Megaride. Looks interesting for sure. Seems like the price was around seven hundred bucks. They have a 3-buckle version called the Helium too, which still seemes like plenty of boot for genral hut tripping.

There are some cool packs out there this year too. Black Diamond expanded their offering of Avalung equipped packs with three clean simple packs, the Outlaw, the Bandit, and the Alias. The Alias is pictured at the right.
I forgot to mention the new Dynafit Manaslu Ski. It is 122/95/108. The Euro's are finally catching on to the North American fat ski world. These skis are light and fun. They feature soft tips with a longer than average tip curve - almost like a slightly rockered tip - the result is a ski that rollsw ith variable snow with ease. We skied them several runs at the demo and were impressed with their versatility and light weight. Thse are not your average nervous lightweight ski - the Manaslu skis hard and skis well. I should have a photo or two soon.
More later.
